Tribute to the Federal Council - Bundesrat
The Bundesrat is one of Germany’s five constitutional bodies. Through it, the Länder contribute to the legislation and administration of the Federation.
In the Bundesrat there are 69 votes. The Länder with more than seven million inhabitants have six votes, those between six and seven million inhabitants have five, those between two and six million inhabitants have four votes and those with less than two million inhabitants have three, which gives an over-representation of the small Länder in relation to their demographic weight.
